Sustainability as
starting point

low angle photography of building

In the EU, buildings are in fact the largest energy-consuming sector, responsible for about 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions. Dwellings and offices in the Netherlands produce 28% of the country’s total CO2 emissions. This enormous amount of CO2 emissions contributes to global warming. In order to limit the rise in global temperatures, Stoneflow’s sustainability strategy is strongly focused on minimizing the negative environmental impact of investments and properties. We also believe that the fund has the greatest impact by focusing on reducing the Netherlands’ current energy inefficient building stock by improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. Individually, being able to reduce this impact can provide a real competitive advantage.

Our CSR activities in Stoneflow are supported by our constant ambition to improve sustainability performance. These CSR objectives are aligned with the three pillars of the ESG framework: Environment, Society and Governance.
